      The public transit data broadcast in the ITESLIVE displays is generally based on GTFS feeds. The GTFS data format is a standard for public transit data that has been established by Google. In a GTFS feed, there are two types of data to communicate the information regarding the trips of a transit authority's vehicles to the end users.

      GTFS (scheduled data)

      When we refer to GTFS data, it is a collection of information that refers to the schedule for the trips. The information in this part of the data is not updated unless there is a schedule change made by the transit authority.

      GTFS RT (Real time)

      When we refer to the GTFS RT data, it is a feed of information based on the real-time location of the vehicles as well as any disruptions to their service (stations closed, lines not operating, important delays, etc.).
