Why isn't my content updating?

Learn why content may not be updating on your screen.

Several reasons may explain why new content does not appear on the screen immediately.

1. Playback Timing

Newly added content is inserted into the playlist according to its playback order. Depending on the length of your playlist, it may take anywhere from a few seconds to several minutes before the content is displayed.

Example

If your playlist contains 10 clips and clip number 2 is currently playing, the system will continue playing clips 3, 4, 5, 6, and so on, up to clip 10 before returning to clip 1.

As a result, the delay before the new clip is displayed may vary depending on its position in the playlist when it was added.

2. Higher-Priority Content Is Playing

If your playlist contains one or more clips with a priority level of 1 or higher, only those clips will be displayed on the screen.

As a result, newly added content without a priority level will not be displayed as long as higher-priority content remains active.

3. Content Is Set to "Play Indefinitely"

If a clip in your playlist is configured with the duration setting "does not end", it will remain on the screen continuously.

In this case, newly added content in the playlist will not be displayed.

4. The Player Is Disconnected

If the player is disconnected, no content updates will be displayed on the screen because the software can no longer communicate with the display player.
