The content updates in the ITESLIVE software are generally completed when a user edits the content's settings on the ITESLIVE Studio. Certain clip types also check for updates in different ways. The following are the update scenarios for the different ITESLIVE clip types.Scénarios de mises à jour qui s'appliquent à tous les types de clips
Clip Creation
No matter the clip type, when the clip is created in a playlist on the ITESLIVE Studio, a signal is sent to the device that is broadcasting the playlist in question. The signal indicates that there was a modification in the playlist with the id "X" and that the display must now download the new information for clip with id "Y".
Clip settings modification
When someone modifies a clip's play length, calendar configurations or any other clip setting, a signal is sent to the device that is broadcasting the clip indicating that the settings for the clip with the id "X" have been edited and that it must download the new information.
Editing content
Whenever a clip's content is edited in the ITESLIVE Studio, whether that is changing the image in a message, the URL for an RSS clip or the city used for a weather clip. A signal is sent to the device that is broadcasting the clip and indicates that the content for the clip has been edited and that it must download the new information.
Update scenarios according to specific clip types.
Weather clip
The weather forecast service updates its information every 30 minutes, thus the new data is sent to the devices broadcasting a weather clip every 30 minutes.
RSS clip and External data clips
All of the external data templates, whether they use JSON, XML, CSV or Excel data, are updated according to a timer configured by the users on the ITESLIVE Studio. The default configuration checks for updates every 50 minutes, but it can be adjusted to match your export schedule.
Real estate clip
The real estate clips update their data at least once a day. There is a process that synchronizes the real estate data that runs all of the real estate data providers one after the other. Once the data for one of the providers has been updated, a signal is sent to all the displays that are using the data for the provider indicating that there is new information for the display to download.
Transport clip
The public transit or transport clips are updated according to a timer configured by the users on the ITESLIVE Studio. The default configuration checks for new data every 45 seconds. That being said, the configuration can be edited to match your GTFS feed's feeds refresh rate.
Office 365, Google clip
The clips that broadcast either the Office 365 documents or Google suite documents update the document's content every 5 minutes.
