Is the display dark with the *00 error code in the corner of the screen?

Most of the time, when the display is black, the code *00 appears in the corner of the screen. It is important to validate this information. This code indicates that the media player is unable to validate its license. It should be noted that your screen may display content for a few seconds/minutes before the screen turns black with the *00 code.

Two reasons can explain this:

The media player is no longer connected to the internet

Although ITESLIVE can function in offline mode, ITESLIVE also has a license validation system. Thus, after 7 days without being able to validate its license, which requires the player/screen to have internet access, our system stops on-site display.

When the display stops for this reason, the screen turns black and displays the error code *00 in the corner of the screen. If this is the case, it means that the player/screen does not have internet access.

Solution: You can try restarting the player/screen to see if the device reconnects to the network. Although this is not a solution that directly addresses the cause of the connection problem, it could correct the situation.

If the problem persists or is recurrent, it is recommended to ask your IT team to analyze the network problem in order to resolve the issue permanently. Here are the domains and ports that need to be authorized in your firewall.

Another media player is using the same license

This would mean that two media players have been configured with the same activation Pin. This type of problem is more likely to occur during the initial configuration of a digital signage network. So, it is unlikely that this kind of manipulation error will occur for a network that has been running for some time.

Solution: To correct the situation, you need to generate a new Pin for this player. Here's how to do it: Generating a PIN
